The Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) is a non-profit organisation that is funded by an annual government grant through the Ministry of Education, Human Resources and Culture, as well as contributions from private enterprise and individuals.
The Foundation (CNCF) exists to stimulate, facilitate and preserve cultural and artistic expression generally, particularly the preservation and exploration of Caymanian performing, visual and literary arts.
Included as part of our cultural portfolio, the Foundation also manages the F.J. Harquail Cultural Centre, the centrepiece of which is the US$4 Million Harquail Theatre.
This multipurpose venue, which was donated to the people of Cayman by Mrs. Helen Harquail, is the home of all of the CNCF’s local stage productions, such as winning plays from the National Playwriting Competition and the national favourite ‘Rundown’.
